Educational Needs and Objectives
There is an obvious need to educate clinicians about CRISPR. Most clinicians have little or no understanding of the underlying physiology and mechanism of how this technique works, they have little understanding regarding what can be done using this powerful tool, and virtually no exposure to the current state of the art CRISPR research which promises to result in multiple clinical applications in the not too distant future. This event features a nationally known expert in the field of CRISPR, who can provide education to clinicians on all aspects of CRISPR.
- Describe what has already been accomplished at the basic science level for CRISPR.
- Discuss the fascinating possibilities for CRISPR clinical applications in the future.
- Discuss the ethical considerations of this powerful CRISPR technique.
